Message from SetantaIt has been announced today by the Board of Setanta Sport Holdings Limited that it has not proved possible to secure the additional financing required to ensure the future viability of certain Setanta businesses in Great Britain. As a consequence, the Board has taken the decision to seek the appointment of Receivers to the parent company, Setanta Sport Holdings Limited, and certain subsidiaries in Ireland, and Administrators to certain English subsidiaries.
Setanta International is not covered by these appointments. Setanta’s services in Canada will continue to trade normally.
Also, it has been widely reported in various media channels, Setanta Sports has had its agreement to broadcast 46 Barclays Premier League matches in the UK terminated.
This development does not affect our channels and other services in Canada.
Setanta Sports Canada is a separate operation that has separate agreement to show the Barclay’s Premier League. Our channel and other services in Canada continue to broadcast and our subscribers can still enjoy our programming including the Lions Tour of South Africa.

Golf!We're trying to set-up some golf times this summer to take our minds away from club football. Steve is trying to book times for either July 17th or 24th. If you are interested please contact Steve on the messageboard, or via e-mail at thelfcdude@shaw.ca. We intend to play it at Maple Ridge with a tee off time around 1pm.
Everyone is welcome to join us (unless they're a Manc). We'll plan on ending the afternoon at On The Rocks for a few cocktails. Please let Steve know as soon as you can so we have an idea of numbers.
Annual General MeetingWe need to have our AGM before the end of July as per our newly changed bylaws. We're currently looking for times and venues for the meeting and will be sending out invitations very soon. This year's AGM will see Keith Flower and myself up for re-election and unless Logy changes his mind again, the position of Secretary will need to be filled.
